At the UPF Poblenou Campus there will be several free workshops from 10:00h until 14:00h were girls will learn how to programme with Scratch, applied robotics, AppInventor, Drawbots, 3D design, 3D printing, Makey-Makey electronic instruments, etc. Registration is needed to participate, and you will have to bring your own tablet or netbook.
The European project KiiCS (Knowledge Incubation in Innovation and Creation for Science), a three-year old initiative that has involved 18 institutions and has organized activities in which more than 1500 people have participated all over Europe, has come to an end.
The last newsletter of the project, elaborated by the agency KEA European Affairs, gathers the results and recommendations extracted from the three years of KiiCS. The project has favoured the connection between science, technology and art through innovation incubators: collaborative activities to promote interdisciplinariety as a way to understand the creative process.
On February the 25th, 26th and 27th has taken place in Berlin the second edition of the PACITA conference on technology assessment in Europe. During three intensive days of speeches and parallel sessions, participants from all over the world have shared their visions on political decision making regarding the implantation and approval of new technologies.
