Alan Alda, Marie Curie, teatro y comunicación científica

El pasado mes de noviembre el conocido actor Alan Alda estrenó la obra de teatro Radiance: the Passion of Marie Curie que él mismo ha escrito y dirigido. La obra esta protagonizada por Anna Gunn (actriz de la serie Braking Bad) que interpreta a Marie y John de Lancie (actor de Star Trek) que interpreta a Pierre, su marido.

El actor Alan Alda, muy conocido por su papel en las series M*A*S*H* y The West Wing, es licenciado en Ciencias por la Fordham University (New York) y durante más de 10 años realizó el programa de televisión de divulgación científica Scientific American Frontiers.

Alan Alda teaches young researchers how to communicate with the public

The online magazine The Scientist published the article “Try acting like a scientist”, which talks about Alan Alda‘s skills to teach a new generation researchers to communicate with the public.

Alda helped form The Center for Communicating Science at Stony Brook University. One of major thrusts of the center is to teach scientists to connect with their audiences by applying the training that made Alda a star on M*A*S*H and winner of five Emmy Awards.
