eurobarometerSpecial Eurobarometer 401 Eurobarometer Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI), Science and Technology published on November 2013 by European Commission reveals that 65% of the respondants stated  television as a main source of information for development in science and technology, followed by newspapers (33%) and websites (32%). Scandinavians and people in the Baltic region are more likely than central and eastern Europeans to turn to the Internet for information.

OCC-UPF presents the Toolkit Impact Assessment at the PLACES project meeting

banner_600_0The PLACES project final meeting takes place today and until the 12th of March in Bremen (Germany), under the title PLACES of Scientific Culture. The main activities of the project and obtained results will be discussed during this closuring conference, and recommendations and suggestions for the future will be gathered and commented too.

The key role of the Science Communication Observatory from Universitat Pompeu Fabra(OCC-UPF) has been organising and supervising the creation of the Toolkit for the Impact Assessment of Science Communication Initiatives and Policies, a set of tools designed by 28 researchers to evaluate the impact of science events, museums and centres.

El OCC-UPF presenta el Toolkit Impact Assessment en la reunión del proyecto europeo PLACES

placesprDesde hoy y hasta el 12 de marzo tiene lugar la conferencia final del proyecto PLACES en Bremen (Alemania) con el título PLACES of Scientific Culture.  A modo de cierre se hablará sobre los principales resultados obtenidos y de las actividades realizadas, además de poner en común las recomendaciones y sugerencias de cara al futuro.

La participación clave del Observatorio de la Comunicación Científica (OCC-UPF) ha sido la de organizar y supervisar la elaboración del Toolkit for the Impact Assessment of Science Communication Initiatives and Policies, una caja de herramientas diseñada por 28 investigadores que sirve para evaluar el impacto que tienen las actividades, los centros y los museos de ciencia.
