Next International Conference on Science Communication 2012 will be held in Nancy (France) on 4th to 7th September 2012 . There will be five strands of investigation to explore new horizons: The specificity of science communication in universities and research centres, Public policy with regard to science communication, Collaborative work and partnership, Target audiences for science communication and New tools, new practices.
The proposals, in English or French, should address one of the above themes and researchers and science communications could send proposals until March 9, 2012.
The theme of this International Conference is Science Communication: International Perspectives, Issues and Strategies, and intends to take a closer look at the new forms of dialogue between those who are directly involved in the production of knowledge and those for whom ethical, political and economic questions linked to research and its outcomes are considered just as important as the progress of knowledge.
The director of the Scientific Communication Observatory, Universitat Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona, Vladimir de Semir, is a member of the Scientific Committee.
