The 2017 Ecsite Annual Conference (28th edition) will be held in Porto, Portugal, on 15-17 June 2017. This conference is organized by the natural History Science Museum of the University of Porto and Ciência Viva.
The conference has opened the call for proposals for its different format sessions: interactive workshops, panel sessions, reverse session, travelling exhibitions and poster showcase.
The Ecsite Annual Conference is open to everyone interested in public engagement with science. It is the most prominent meeting of science engagement professionals in Europe, bringing together 1,000 professionals. Ecsite members attend this event at reduced rates and often take part in the conference sessions as speakers or convenors.
A good Ecsite session proposal should be linked to the conference theme, include a complete list of speakers, bring new and younger faces to the conference, include speakers and convenors from different countries, be interactive and ensure a gender balance. Here you can find the guidelines to you shape your session idea into a proposal.
Interested participants have to send proposals before 16 October 2016 at midnight, GMT+2 through ECSITE 2017 web site.
