ciduiThe 9th International Congress on University Teaching and Innovation CIDUI will take place in the Hotel Campus of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona on 5-7 July 2016. This year’s theme is “Teaching and learning innovation impacts” and the congress will gather more than 500 professionals.

The European HEIRRI project (Higher Education Institutions and Responsible Research and Innovation) will be presented on 6th July during the Symposium “Innovative teaching for a responsible and critic education” . The session will be at Arnau de Vilanova room from 9:00 to 11:00am.

Núria Saladié, from the Studies Center on Science, Communication and Society from Pompeu Fabra University (UPF)  and project manager of HEIRRI will participate in this session, together with Niels Mejlgaard, from Aarhus University; and Nadja Gmelch, from the Catalan Association of Public Universities (ACUP); both also members of the HEIRRI consortium. Jordi Prat from ESDU project (Promoting Education for Development in Catalan universities) will also participate in the Symposium.

Questions about transformative education, the relevance of teaching for future professionals, the introduction of RRI at the university curricula and its main barriers will be discussed in this session.
