On January 14th and 15th, the HEIRRI project was presented at the conference “RRI shaping new horizons: Responsible Research and Innovation in Europe and across the World” in Brussels. The event was organized by four major European projects: GREAT, ProGReSS, Res-Agora, and Responsibility, that together are the Go4 projects.
Gema Revuelta, coordinator of the HEIRRI project, and Núria Saladié, its project manager (both from the Studies Center on Science, Communication and Society from Universitat Pompeu Fabra), went to Brussels to present the initiative among professionals interested in Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) from all around the world, coming from both public and private sectors.
During the two-day conference, interesting discussions took place about the role of industry and the meaning of “growth”, the real implementation of RRI and its global impact, its integration into education, and the need for a change of the research system, among many others. Moreover, results from the four initiatives of the Go4 projects were explained and several posters presented on Thursday afternoon, like the ones from projects Sparks, Satori or RRI Tools.
The conference took place at the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) premises in Brussels.
