Rothamsted Research (Harpenden) is looking for a Digital Communications Manager within the communications team. It is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled individual to support the institute’s digital communications plans under the direction of the Head of Communications at Rothamsted Research. Operating within a team, the successful candidate will deliver effective online communication across internal and external stakeholder groups, will help to ensure that the institute website is a visually and editorially engaging parallel of the institute itself and provide support for various web-based projects throughout the organisation.
This will involve supporting the creation of a digital strategy, to ensure the seamless integration of online communication and broad social media content into traditional campaigns and marketing strategy. The role requires creative skills to develop image-led and video content for dissemination across various online and offline channels.
The successful candidate will have proven and excellent written and oral communication skills. They will be computer literate, skilled in the use of video, animation and audio visual tools as well as office software and be able to communicate and network widely with colleagues inside and outside Rothamsted Research. The ability to work flexibly to deadlines under pressure is also essential. Occasional travel may be required.
