IRB Barcelona seeks a Public Engagement and Education Officer to develop and deliver scientific education and outreach programmes and activities based on the research conducted at the Institute. The post-holder will join the Office of Communications and External Relations, whose mandate includes promoting public awareness of biomedical research and its impact on society, and developing and contributing to effective education programmes to ensure the next generation of talented researchers in the biomedical sciences.
The successful candidate will be employed under a fixed – term contract to cover a maternity leave. Deadline for applications: 14/06/2017
IRB Barcelona is a self-standing, non-profit institution devoted to basic and applied biomedical research. It was set up in 2005 jointly by the Government of Catalonia and the University of Barcelona and is located at the Barcelona Science Park. The institute currently has more than 430 members (scientific, technical and administrative staff) from all over the world, who work across disciplines to advance research in the biomedical sciences.
