The necessary debate and reflection on trends in scientific communication, with particular emphasis on the communication of universities to society, as well as the use of new media, such as social networks, in the dissemination of science, is the purpose of the round table: Trends in Scientific Journalism Research, which will take place in the Science Journalism Forum (SJF).

Gema Revuelta, vice president of the Spanish Association of Scientific Communication (AEC2), director of  the Study Center on Science, Communication and Society from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (SCS-UPF) and of the the Master in Scientific, Medical and Environmental Communication (CCS-UPF-UPF-BSM) will be the moderator, and Carolina Llorente, associate professor of Science and Responsible Innovation Communication (RRI) of the Department of Medicine and Life Sciences (MELIS-UPF), coordinator of the CCS-UPF and of this master, will participate as speaker.

This round table is part of AEC2‘s contribution to the SJF, which is a global, entirely virtual event, where scientific journalists, writers, editors, scientists, students and academics can share new ideas and thoughts in scientific journalism. It will take place from 29th October to 4th November.
