The Health Department of the Generalitat of Catalonia has created the Scientific Advisory Board on the Ebola Virus Disease, comprised of twelve members including Gema Revuelta, professor in the Department of Experimental Sciences and Health (CEXS-UPF) and deputy director of the Science Communication Observatory (OCC-UPF), both from Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
The members of this Board are experts who work locally, nationally or internationally in several areas such as clinical management of tropical diseases, public health, virology, vaccines, operational action or communication.
The Broad is chaired by Dr. Antoni Trilla, head of the Preventive Medicine Service at Hospital Clínic. Besides Gema Revuelta other members are Antoni Plasència, Angela Domínguez, José Muñoz, Vicky Fumadó, Mireia Jané, Mikel Martínez, Josep M Jansà, Teresa Pi-Sunyer i Joan Tubau..
The Scientific Advisory Board on the Ebola Virus Disease has been created with the aim to generate, identify and update the information, assist in the development of action plans and decision-making and advise involved actors on the coordination and monitoring, among other functions.
