.MuseumNext2012 will take place in Barcelona on May 23 – 25 2012 in partnership with three leading museums, Centre de Cultura Contemporànea de Barcelona (CCCB), Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) and Museu Picasso de Barcelona.
The conference will look at three themes: digital participation, digital marketing and digital challenges providing real actionable advice from international museums and leading experts.
MuseumNext2012 are now inviting members to propose presentations for the conference on one of these three themes.

Proposals should be emailed along with the names and contact details of those who will make the presentation or workshop to info@museumnext.org no later than December 15th 2011.
MuseumNext was founded in 2009 by Jim Richardson who believes that technology is changing the expectations of museum audiences. They no longer want to have information just broadcasted at them; they want to create, to curate and to co-produce experiences.
The first event was held in Newcastle upon Tyne (England), the second event was held in London in May 2010 with presentations from institutions including TATE, MoMA and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The MuseumNext2011 conference took place over two days in Edinburgh and speakers included representatives from the Brooklyn Museum, Guggenheim and the Australian Museum.
